La Venenosa Raicilla Sierra de Amula is a premium craft agave spirit (raicilla) produced in the Sierra de Amula region of Jalisco, Mexico, under the umbrella of the brand La Venenosa (curated by chef & agave-spirit advocate Esteban Morales).
Tasting Notes
COLOR:
Clear to slightly pale straw (raicilla is often not aged or lightly aged, so not heavily coloured).
NOSE:
Mineral, wet grass and cooked agave.
TASTE:
Light acidity, saline and earthy. One listing: “Wenig Säure, salzig und erdig” (little acidity, salty and earthy).
FINISH:
Clean but with a lingering mineral/earth edge and salt/sea-air nuance. A spirit where the terroir and agave speak more than heavy smoke or wood.
