Description
Nomad Outland Reserve 10 Year Old Triple Cask is a distinctive blended whisky crafted through a bold, multi-stage maturation process that reflects both Scottish whisky heritage and Spanish sherry influence. Conceived by Master Blender Richard Paterson and produced in collaboration with González-Byass, this expression starts its life in Scotland, where the spirit ages for 6 years in American oak barrels with sherry influence. It then journeys to Jerez, Spain for extended maturation: 2 years in Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks followed by a final 2 years in Oloroso sherry casks. The result is a beautifully balanced whisky with complex layers of flavor and a rich amber color.
Tasting Notes
COLOR:
Rich dark amber hue from extended sherry cask maturation.
NOSE:
Inviting aroma of sweet sherry, dried fruits (raisins, sultanas), malt and vanilla, underscored by subtle oak and honeyed notes.
TASTE:
Smooth and layered, with flavors of caramel, dried fruits, oak spice, nutty undertones (almonds), hints of fig and honey. The interplay between the PX and Oloroso sherry influence brings a complex sweetness balanced with depth and richness.
FINISH:
Long and elegant, carrying gentle sherry tones with lingering nutty and caramel warmth.
