Description
Crafted by Christian Moueix at his Yountville estate (formerly Napanook), the 2015 Dominus is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 16–22 months in 40% new French oak. The vintage benefited from generous winter rains and ideal growing conditions, imprinting depth and elegance on the wine.
Tasting Notes
COLOR:
Deep garnet-purple, rich and intense.
NOSE:
Bursts with wild blueberries, crushed blackberries, black currant, wild thyme, damp earth, incense, smoke tobacco, lavender, and pencil lead.
TASTE:
Full-bodied, with polished, grainy tannins framing opulent black and red fruit, wild herbs, mocha, anise, incense, and firm structure.
FINISH:
Long, layered, and resonant—featuring graphite, truffle, earth, iron, spice, and lingering fruit.
