The Balvenie – The Creation of a Classic is a tribute to the pioneering work of Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE, who introduced the concept of cask finishing in the Scotch whisky industry during the 1980s. This expression, part of The Balvenie Stories range, recreates the original Balvenie Classic, showcasing the innovative maturation technique that has since become a hallmark of the distillery's craftsmanship.

This single malt Scotch whisky is first matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, imparting sweet vanilla and caramel notes. It is then finished in Oloroso sherry casks, adding layers of dried fruit and spice to the profile. Bottled at 43% ABV, The Creation of a Classic is a non-age-stated expression that embodies the essence of Balvenie's traditional Speyside character.
