The Balvenie Tun 1401 Batch #8 is a distinguished single malt Scotch whisky, meticulously crafted under the expertise of Malt Master David Stewart. This limited edition release is part of the esteemed Tun 1401 series, celebrated for its unique marrying process that harmonizes select casks to create a complex and refined whisky.
Composition and Maturation:
Batch #8 is a blend of twelve casks: nine American oak bourbon casks and three European oak sherry casks. These casks, selected from vintages of the 1970s and 1980s, were married together in the traditional oak marrying vessel, Tun 1401, for several months to achieve a harmonious flavor profile.

Tasting Notes
NOSE:
Polished leather, wood varnish, menthol, and tobacco leaves, with hints of fresh apples, orange juice, floral touches, and honey. The balance is incredible.
TASTE:
Citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons, and pink grapefruit, accompanied by varnish, leather, menthol, a whiff of smoke, cinnamon, gentle peppery notes, honey, and undeniable oak presence.
