Westward Cask Strength is the boldest and most uncut expression of Westward’s American single malt whiskey, bottled straight from the barrel without dilution or chill filtration. Crafted in Portland, Oregon, this expression starts with 100% Pacific Northwest malted barley, brewed like an ale and then double distilled, before aging in new charred American oak barrels. The cask strength format delivers unapologetic intensity and full expression of the distillery’s style, showcasing concentrated malt, oak, and spice character at 62.5% ABV (125 proof).

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Rich and layered with honeysuckle, dried cherry, toasted almond, mocha, and rich raisin — a bold malt-forward nose with depth and sweetness.

TASTE:
Full-bodied and powerful, featuring flavors of peach streusel, rum raisin, coconut flake, and apple pie, balanced by underlying oak spice and robust malt character.
