Absinthe Vieux Pontarlier – Absinthe Française Supérieure is a classic French absinthe crafted in Pontarlier, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté — historically known as the “Capital of Absinthe.” This artisan spirit is distilled in small batches using locally-grown Pontarlier wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) — prized among absinthe enthusiasts — alongside green anise, Provençal fennel, and a secret blend of aromatic herbs and spices. It is distilled on antique alembic stills and uses a Burgundy chardonnay grape spirit base, reflecting traditional pre-ban methods without any added sweeteners or artificial colours. At ~65 % ABV (130 proof), it delivers a bold yet finely balanced herbal profile true to classic French absinthe heritage.

Pale peridot green that louches to a softly opalescent, cloudy hue as chilled water is added.

NOSE:
