The Macallan 7 Year Old Maxxium Italia Edition is a rare single malt Scotch whisky that was exclusively bottled for the Italian market in the early 2000s. This expression succeeded the previous 7-year-old bottling for Armando Giovinetti, the former Italian distributor, and was introduced under Maxxium Italia, the subsequent importer.
Maturation and Characteristics:
This whisky matured for seven years in ex-sherry oak casks sourced from Jerez, Spain, a hallmark of The Macallan's commitment to rich and robust flavors. Bottled at 40% ABV, it was available in both 700ml and 1000ml formats.
