The Islay 8 Year Old from That Boutique-y Whisky Company is part of their Core Range, representing a young but bold Islay single malt. Bottled at 45.8% ABV, this whisky is matured in a combination of refill casks — including ex-bourbon hogsheads and ex-sherry octaves — lending it both freshness and depth.
It is non–chill filtered and has natural cask color, which preserves the integrity and character of the spirit. The batch size is relatively small (~1,000 litres per release), making it a more intimate, collectible offering.
