That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s Glen Garioch Batch 8 – 33 Year Old is a very special Highland single malt, drawn from a single hogshead. According to TBWC, the cask was distilled in December 1988, making the whisky actually ~34 years old by the time of bottling — though the label states 33.

It’s bottled at 46.2% ABV.

This expression belongs to TBWC’s Cinema Series, inspired by the 33-year-old Scotch mentioned in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.

Importantly, this is a nod to “old school” Glen Garioch: when the distillery floor-malted its own barley and used lightly peated malt (around 8-10 ppm), which is very different from the now-unpeated style.
