That Boutique-y’s Elsburn — Batch 2 — 3 Year Old is a very young, limited independent bottling showcasing a spirit from the Elsburn source (bottled under TBWC’s characteristic comic-style label). Because it’s only three years in oak this release is aimed at revealing the lively, malty, grain-and-fruit heart of the distillate rather than deep oak or long-age complexity. TBWC often bottles these younger releases at a slightly higher strength than standard bottlings to preserve flavour, and packages them in small outturns for collectors and curious drinkers.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Fresh malted barley, warm porridge and shortbread.

TASTE:
Crisp and youthful: biscuit, malt loaf, vanilla and light toffee.

FINISH:
Short-to-medium, clean and slightly drying with lingering biscuit, citrus oil and a whisper of oak spice. Not the long layered finish of older malts — bright and lively rather than brooding.
