Description

Part of the Return to Oz series by That Boutique‑y Rum Company, this is their first bottling from Australia’s Mt Uncle Distillery. It’s a cane-syrup–based pot‑still rum distilled on a 1,500 L Holstein still, matured for 12 years in a heavily toasted ex‑red-wine hogshead, and bottled at 64.9 % ABV—non‑chill‑filtered, naturally coloured, pure and unadulterated. Just 334 bottles were released in Batch 1.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Explosively tropical—green pineapple, honeydew melon, ripe nectarine, mango—spun together with sherbet-like zing, subtle oak spice, and burnt rubber notes.

TASTE:
Sweet and oily texture, with plum compote, jammy fruit (Victoria plum), mixed spice, and a hint of allspice.

FINISH:
Long and tannic, featuring rhubarb, green tea bitterness, tart cooked pineapple, and a touch of anise.
