The Talisker 1951 21-Year-Old, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail under their Connoisseurs Choice range, is a rare and esteemed single malt Scotch whisky. Distilled in 1951 at the Talisker Distillery on the Isle of Skye, this expression was matured for 21 years before its release in the 1970s.
Tasting Notes
COLOR:
Dark gold.
NOSE:
Initial aromas of coal smoke, soot, cold ashes, and dried tangerines, presenting a dry and austere profile. With time, it evolves to reveal notes of honey, mirabelle plum jam, quinces, fig liqueur, leather, and subtle hints of motor oil, showcasing its complexity.
TASTE:
Not overly powerful but notably substantial with pronounced salinity. Flavors of cough drops, orange liqueur, malt, grilled herbs, and bitter chocolate emerge, offering a rich and layered tasting experience.
