The Springbank 1997 11 Year Old Madeira Wood is a distinctive single malt Scotch whisky from the renowned Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland. Distilled in June 1997, this expression was matured exclusively in Madeira wine casks for 11 years before being bottled at cask strength in January 2009.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Complex and layered aromas featuring oak, cedar, subtle smoke, linseed oil, wet vegetation, light heather, peat, and dried fruits.

TASTE:
Rich and oily texture with flavors of wild berry fruits, tarry ropes, black cherry, and a balance of sweetness and complexity.

FINISH:
Lingering notes of smoke and dark chocolate, complemented by briary fruits.
