Description

The Springbank 1965 "The Birds" Sherry Cask #367 is a distinguished single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 1965 at the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown and bottled in 1987 by the independent Italian bottler, Moon Import. This release is part of the first edition of Moon Import's "The Birds" series, featuring artwork inspired by avian themes. Matured in a sherry butt, this expression was bottled at 46% ABV, with a total of 504 bottles produced.

Tasting Notes

NOSE: Fresh and herbaceous, with notes of fern and eucalyptus leaf, complemented by a light yet dense smokiness, varnish, oak wood, rancio, and an array of sweet spices.
TASTE: A harmonious blend of rich toffee and caramel, evolving into treacle and marmalade, with subtle hints of coastal influence, brown sugar, salted butter, and delicate floral undertones.
FINISH: Long and satisfying, with lingering flavors of coffee, dark dried fruits, and a gentle smokiness that reflects its Campbeltown heritage.
