Description
The Family Red is an estate-grown Bordeaux-style red from Silver Heights in Ningxia’s Helan Mountain. Hand-harvested and rigorously sorted, Cabernet Sauvignon from high-altitude vineyards (~1,200 m). Vinified with indigenous yeasts, it’s aged for 12–14 months in French oak—40% new—before minimal filtration to highlight purity and elegance.
Tasting Notes
NOSE:
A layered bouquet featuring blackberry, dark cherry, fig, tobacco, graphite, eucalyptus, and herbal nuances like peppermint and fennel.
TASTE:
Medium-plus bodied, with succulent black fruit core, firm yet refined tannins, warm oak spice (vanilla, cigar box), and savoury leaf-tea accents.
FINISH:
Rich and lingering, with hints of chocolate, minerals, and a persistent savoury‑tobacco twist.
