Tanca Farrà Alghero Rosso is one of the flagship reds from Sella & Mosca, crafted in the northwest of Sardinia near Alghero. The name Tanca Farrà refers to the historic vineyard from which the grapes are sourced. The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cannonau, combining the international depth and structure of Cabernet with the Mediterranean warmth and spiciness of Cannonau. It is aged in large oak casks to soften the tannins while preserving varietal character. This union creates a distinctive Sardinian red — structured, savory, and long-lived.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Deep ruby red with garnet reflections.

NOSE:
Intense aromas of ripe dark fruits (blackberry, plum, blackcurrant) layered with Mediterranean herbs, leather, sweet spice, and a touch of tobacco.

TASTE:
Medium- to full-bodied, with Cabernet’s firm structure and Cannonau’s ripe fruit. Dark berry flavours combine with earthy, herbal, and balsamic notes. Balanced acidity keeps the wine fresh.
