Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire & Cask Strength - 18 Year Old | Single Malt Scotch Whisky

NOSE:
Immediate coastal smoke — seaweed, iodine, tarry ropes and wet stones — softened by mature oak: dried figs, black-cherry jam and a dusting of dark chocolate. With time: leather, cedar, and a faint menthol/medicinal note beneath the brine.

TASTE:
Dense and oily: peat smoke, espresso grind, smoked bacon fat and charred citrus peel up front. Mid-palate opens to treacle, roasted nuts and stewed dark fruit (prune/fig) if the bottling carried sherry finishing; otherwise oak-driven toffee, vanilla and baking spice. Very concentrated — expect warming alcohol presence at first (cask strength), which water tames to reveal sweeter layers.

FINISH:
Long, savoury and slightly drying — lingering embers, sea salt, cracked black pepper and a last cocoa dust / dried fruit echo. The finish keeps peat and oak in balance rather than letting one dominate.
