Red Schooner – Malbec Voyage 12 is a distinctive Argentinian Malbec crafted from high-altitude vineyards in the Andes and vinified in Napa Valley by the Wagner family of Caymus. This “wine of the world” concept involves harvesting the grapes in Argentina, chilling them, and transporting them by sea to California, where they are finished in a signature Caymus style—rich, dense, and velvety.

Unlike traditional wines, it is labeled by “voyage” rather than vintage (Voyage 12 corresponds to the 2022 harvest), emphasizing its unique transoceanic journey.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Deep, inky purple—almost opaque in the glass.

Ripe boysenberry, blackberry, plum, and dark chocolate with hints of vanilla, spice, and tobacco.
