Planteray Mauritius Vintage 2013 is a limited-edition double-aged rum from the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius, representing the third release in the Planteray Vintage (Terravera) series. Distilled from molasses in 2013, this expression showcases the lush tropical character of its origin and the house’s signature double-ageing technique—first under the intense tropical climate of Mauritius and then matured in the south of France—in Ferrand oak casks before bottling at 46.5 % ABV.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Inviting and richly aromatic with tropical fruit-forward aromas of lemon peel, passion fruit, banana, and coconut, layered with notes of caramel, vanilla, and citrus. Undertones of nutmeg and tobacco enrich the aromatic complexity.

TASTE:
Smooth and fragrant, with dried fruit, exotic guava, and delicate floral hints like rose adding elegance and depth to the core fruit profile.

FINISH:
A lingering, balanced finish with touches of black tea, pepper, and dry orange peel, leaving a pleasant dry spice and citrus imprint.
