Description
Pierre Bourée Fils, based in Gevrey-Chambertin since 1864, produces classic, terroir-driven Burgundy wines using traditional methods. Their Morey-Saint-Denis is a red wine made entirely from Pinot Noir, sourced from the limestone- and marl-rich vineyards of this Côte de Nuits village, which sits between Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny.
Vinification follows old-school Burgundian practices: hand-harvesting, long fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and ageing in French oak barrels (20–25% new) for up to 18 months. The result is a wine that combines the finesse of Chambolle with the structure of Gevrey.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby red with garnet hues as it matures.
NOSE:
Aromas of red and black cherries, raspberry, cranberry, and strawberry with earthy notes of underbrush, truffle, and spice. Subtle oak influences of vanilla, smoke, and cedar.
TASTE:
Medium-bodied and elegant, with silky tannins. Layers of red fruits (cherry, currant, plum) balanced by minerality, gamey notes, and a touch of savory spice.
FINISH:
Persistent and refined, with a balance of fruit, earth, and gentle oak. Gains depth and complexity with bottle age.
