Description

Pierre Bourée Fils is a historic family domaine in Burgundy, known for traditional winemaking practices, long élevage, and producing ageworthy Pinot Noirs. Clos de la Justice is a monopole vineyard (entirely owned by the domaine) located in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. The wine is made from old vines, carefully hand-harvested, fermented traditionally with indigenous yeasts, and aged in French oak barrels (often 20–30% new) for up to 18 months before bottling.

This cuvée is considered one of Bourée’s signature expressions, offering depth, elegance, and the classic muscular structure of Gevrey.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Deep ruby with garnet highlights as it matures.

NOSE:
Aromas of black cherry, red currant, blackberry, and raspberry layered with earthy tones of forest floor, truffle, and dried herbs. Hints of spice (clove, pepper), smoke, and cedar from oak aging.

TASTE:
Medium to full-bodied with silky yet firm tannins. Flavours of ripe red and black fruits balanced by savory notes (game, leather, mushroom). Lively acidity gives freshness and energy.

FINISH:
Long, elegant finish with lingering minerality and spice. Gains complexity with age.
