COLOR:

Aromas of ripe red fruits like cherry, plum, blackberry; darker berry notes such as blackberry / blackcurrant; floral hints; spice (black pepper, some licorice); herbal / Mediterranean touches (eucalyptus, rosemary) and sometimes chocolate- or tobacco-like nuance with oak.

TASTE:
Medium-to-full body. Fruit forward with plum, red cherries, sometimes black fruits; oak gives spice, vanilla or chocolate tones; tannins are present but usually smooth or well-integrated; there is some balsamic or herbal lift; acidity balanced, freshness maintained by coastal influence.

FINISH:
The finish tends to be fairly long, with lingering red fruit, spice, and a touch of oak/balsamic. Texture is fleshy and dense. Balanced and not overly harsh; the wine has a smooth mouthfeel.
