Description

Nectar Dei—Latin for “nectar of the gods”—harks back to the estate’s 1183 name. This bold Maremma Toscana DOC is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60 %), Petit Verdot (20 %), Merlot (15 %), and 5 % secret varietals, grown on sandy, stone-rich soils near the Tuscan coast at ~250 m elevation. Fermentation takes place in large stainless steel tanks, followed by 24 months in French barriques (∼30 % new), 4–6 months in concrete, and another 6–12 months in bottle before release. Certified organic and crafted under Carlo Ferrini’s expertise.

Tasting Notes

Intense ripe black fruits—blackberry, plum—and complex layers of vanilla, tobacco, licorice, cedar, and pink pepper.

TASTE:
Rich, concentrated, and structured; plush tannins, bright acidity, and a long persistent finish with dark fruit, leather, and spice.
