Montecampo Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore is a rich and refined red wine from the Veneto region of Italy. It is made using the traditional "ripasso" technique, where fresh Valpolicella wine is refermented over the partially dried grape skins left over from Amarone production. This process imparts extra body, complexity, and depth to the wine. Labeled "Superiore" for its higher alcohol and extended aging, Montecampo’s Ripasso combines the bright fruit of Valpolicella with the bold character reminiscent of Amarone, offering exceptional value and flavor.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Deep ruby red with garnet reflections.

NOSE:
Complex nose featuring aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries, dried plums, and hints of tobacco, vanilla, and sweet spices.

TASTE:
Medium to full-bodied with smooth tannins. Flavors of dark cherry, fig, baking spice, and a touch of mocha evolve into a well-balanced, structured wine with vibrant acidity.
