Absinthe Pontarlier – Un Émile is a traditional French absinthe produced by Distillerie Les Fils d’Émile Pernot, a historic family distillery established in 1889 in La Cluse-et-Mijoux, near Pontarlier in the Franche-Comté region — a birthplace of classic absinthe culture. The recipe traces its inspiration back to what the founder’s great-grandfather distilled around the turn of the 20th century. Crafted on century-old stills and using an authentic blend of wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), green anise, fennel, and other aromatic herbs, Un Émile captures the essence of a well-balanced, aperitif-style absinthe with firm herbal character and refined structure.
