Absinthe La Berthe de Joux is a traditional French absinthe crafted by Distillerie Les Fils d’Émile Pernot, a historic family distillery rooted just below the Château de Joux in La Cluse-et-Mijoux near Pontarlier — the heartland of classic absinthe production. Drawing on recipes and techniques dating back to the 19th century, this absinthe is distilled in antique copper stills using wine alcohol and a complex botanical blend that includes green anise, fennel, Pontarlier wormwood, and other secret herbs to create an aromatic spirit with depth and character.
