Description

Harmony Demi-Sec from Laurent-Perrier is a non-vintage Champagne crafted to showcase a richer, slightly sweet style (Demi-Sec) while retaining the house’s hallmark elegance and finesse. The blend is approximately 45% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier, utilising reserve wines to ensure consistency and depth.

Dosage is higher than a brut, at around 40 g/L of sugar, which gives it more roundness and makes it especially suitable for pairing with sweet/savoury dishes.

Ageing on lees is about three years minimum, contributing to complexity and richness.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Brilliant and intense golden yellow colour.

NOSE:
A rich aroma profile featuring dried fruit (almonds, hazelnuts), toasted/grilled notes, brioche and after ageing, hints of honey and pine resin.

TASTE:
Full-bodied, generous and rounded. The sweetness is balanced by acidity and structure, showing stone or pit-fruit (peach/apricot) and a fine creamy/textural feel. Some reviewers note pear, brioche and anise/vanilla edge.

FINISH:
Long, with a lovely vibrancy even given the sweetness, and nutty/creamy lingering character.
