La Gauloise Verte is a traditional French herbal liqueur crafted at La Distillerie du Centre in Limoges, France, from a bicentennial recipe rediscovered in the 18th century by alchemist Edouard Requier. Its name and legends date back to the era of Gaul, giving it a storied heritage. The luminous electric green elixir is made from a complex blend of botanicals such as angelica, St. John’s wort, saffron, cardamom, génépi and other secret herbs, which are double‑distilled over a wood fire before maturing slowly to develop depth and harmony. La Gauloise Verte can be savored neat, on ice, or as a unique herbal component in cocktails.
