Description
“OTQ” stands for On The Quiet, a limited-release single-vineyard wine series by Jules Taylor. The Rosé in this series is made from Pinot Noir grown specifically for rosé production in the Southern Valleys / Hawkesbury / Branken Hill area of Marlborough. Grapes are hand-picked (often early/late March), crushed and given a short skin contact (a few hours) to develop colour, then fermented cool (tank) to preserve delicate aromatics. The wine is dry, elegant, and designed to showcase vineyard expression.
Tasting Notes
COLOR:
Mid-pink.
NOSE:
Floral aromatics: poached rhubarb, rose petals, raspberries; touch of spice, nougat, vanilla cream.
TASTE:
Dry, juicy, elegant complexity. Sweet-berry and ripe summer berries balanced with fresh herbs. Silky mouthfeel and bright acid that carries it.
FINISH:
Long, mouth-watering finish. Very appealing wine; can be enjoyed now.
