Description
Clos des Mouches, meaning "enclosure of the flies," refers to the bees ("mouches à miel") historically kept in this sun-drenched vineyard. Situated at the southern end of the Beaune appellation near Pommard, the vineyard benefits from an east/southeast exposure and diverse soils of clay, limestone, and marl. Maison Joseph Drouhin, a family-owned estate since 1880, has cultivated this 14-hectare parcel—equally divided between Pinot Noir and Chardonnay—using organic and biodynamic practices since the late 1980s and 1990s, respectively.

TASTE:
On the palate, it presents a clear-cut impression with a fleshy texture. The body is firm yet not rough, well-integrated without heaviness, showcasing great freshness in youth and developing a velvety texture and precise structure over time.
FINISH:
The finish is harmonious, full, and marked by delicate tannins.
