Produced by the esteemed family estate Domaine Hubert Lignier in Morey-Saint-Denis (Côte de Nuits, Burgundy), the Très Girard is a village-level Pinot Noir from vines planted in the 1970s on the gently heavier soils at the base of the slope. The wine is typically made from purchased fruit managed under the domaine’s rigorous, terroir-driven methods—hand harvesting, natural yeasts, long maceration and restrained use of new oak—resulting in purity of fruit and clarity of expression. The style tends to be finer and softer than some village wines, with early-appealing fruit that can be mistaken for a Chambolle-Musigny in youth due to its elegance.
