This flagship Shiraz comes from Hewitson’s Monopole Vineyard—a clonal selection grafted from a single 1853 Shiraz vine discovered in the historic Old Garden at Rowland Flat, Barossa Valley.

Each bottle contains fruit from this exclusive, estate-owned vineyard. The wine employs ~45% whole-bunch fermentation, with three weeks on skins, followed by ~18 months in new and seasoned French oak

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Dark plum, mulberry, blueberry, cassis—framed by mocha, violet, coffee bean, sage, bay leaf, and savory olive tapenade.

TASTE:
Full-bodied yet refined, offering ripe dark berries, chocolate/licorice, spice, red pepper, gunflint, and herbaceous notes.

FINISH:
Fine, chalky tannins with blood orange–sharp acidity give a long, layered finish.
