Henri Giraud’s Perpetual Reserve PR 90/20 is a unique Champagne crafted using a perpetual solera system, blending base wines dating back to 1990 and reserve wines from as far back as the 1950s, topped up annually with recent vintages—most recently 2020. This innovative approach creates a complex, layered cuvée with remarkable depth and consistency.
The blend is predominantly Pinot Noir (about 80%), with the remainder Chardonnay (20%), all sourced from the Grand Cru vineyards of Aÿ. Fermentation and aging occur partly in oak barrels, imparting richness and textural complexity. The wine undergoes extended aging on lees for enhanced finesse.
