Description

This is the magnum version of the Henri Giraud Fût de Chêne Rosé, a premium Champagne crafted primarily from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier sourced exclusively from Aÿ Grand Cru. It incorporates approximately 6 % red still Pinot Noir, akin to the rosé cuvée, and blends in significant reserve wines for depth and complexity. Fermented and aged for about 12 months in small Argonne oak barrels, it is then bottled and aged on lees for several years before release. The oak treatment gives the wine signature oxidative richness without overshadowing its freshness.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Deep copper to vibrant salmon rose‑copper hue, richer than standard rosé Champagnes.

NOSE:
Aromas of sweet red berries, rose petal, cranberry, salted yellow plum, oyster shell, ginseng, and blood orange. Hints of violet and brown butter add complexity.

TASTE:
Broad, creamy, and fleshy with a silky mousse. Flavors include nougat, plum, candied berries, subtle spice, saline accents, and fine oak-derived toast.

FINISH:
Long, savory finish with integrated acidity.
