Description

Footprint Sauvignon Blanc is a light-to-medium bodied, dry white wine from the Western Cape, South Africa. It is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes sourced from vineyards in Paarl and the West Coast region. The fruit is harvested early (often at dawn to retain freshness), and following crushing, there’s brief skin contact, settling, then cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures (≈ 10-12 °C) to preserve freshness. Post-fermentation, the wine spends some time on its lees to gain texture and balance.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Star-bright with a delicate green tint.

NOSE:
Aromas of green apple, gooseberry, passion fruit, with herbaceous touches like freshly cut grass and nettle.

TASTE:
Crisp acidity with intense summer fruit flavours (passion fruit, some citrus, green apple), balanced by grassy / herbal undertones. Dry and refreshing, with a bright, lively character.

FINISH:
Clean and refreshing, lingering fruit notes with a herbal finish.
