Description
Footprint “The Long Walk” Chenin Blanc / Sémillon is a crisp, unoaked white blend from the Western Cape of South Africa, made by African Pride Wines. The blend is approximately 55% Chenin Blanc and 45% Sémillon. The wine is vinified in stainless steel under controlled cool temperatures (12–14 °C), and is left on lees for 1–2 months before racking and blending.
Tasting Notes
NOSE:
The nose is fresh and inviting, showing aromas of guava, pear, and citrus (lemon, lime, grapefruit), with tropical fruit lift.
TASTE:
On the palate it is light to medium-bodied and dry, with vibrant peach and apricot flavors taking centre stage.
FINISH:
The finish is clean, crisp and persistent, with good acidity balancing the fruit.
