Errazuriz Estate Reserva Shiraz (also labelled “Syrah” in some markets) is a red wine from Viña Errazuriz, from the Aconcagua Valley in Chile. It is part of their Estate/Reserva series, offering good quality at a friendly price, with a style that balances ripe fruit, spice, oak, and freshness. Grapes come from vineyards in a Mediterranean climate with warm days and cooling evening breezes, enabling ripening while maintaining acidity.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Vibrant purplish-red; youthful colour with violet or florals in the rim.

NOSE:
Rich fresh red and black fruits — blackberry, plum, maybe blueberry; sweet spice (vanilla, perhaps subtle cloves or pepper); floral undertones. Subtle oak presence adds toast / soft smoke.

TASTE:
Medium to full-bodied, though more on the elegant side than super heavy. There is firm structure: noticeable tannins, good acidity for freshness. Fruit flavors follow: ripe blackberries/plums, perhaps some dark cherry; spice (sweet, pepper), oak and gentle smoke; oak is integrated (not overwhelming).

FINISH:
Finish is long, with lingering fruit and spice.
