Description

Chapelle Chambertin Grand Cru 2019 is a red wine from Burgundy produced using natural methods by Domaine Philippe Livera. The Pinot Noir grapes come from the few rows of this renowned Grand cru vineyard, in the lieu-dit "Les Gemeaux", from plants about 80 years old that grow on soils are very rocky and shallow, with "mother rock" of limestone not far from the surface.

This Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru 2019 expresses aromas of violets, pepper, red berries and smoky notes on the nose, for a refined and enveloping sip.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Medium to deep ruby typical of fine Burgundy.

NOSE:
Perfumed and layered, with red and dark cherry fruit harmonising with violet/flower essence, pepper spice, and a subtle hint of smoke or forest floor.

TASTE:
Silky and refined yet concentrated, showing ripe red berries, cola and spice, with polished tannins and a long, harmonious finish. A trace of minerality and earthiness adds depth and complexity.

FINISH:
Long and resonant, with fruit persistence and fine tannin grip that supports ageing.
