Domaine de Vauroux Chablis is a classic dry white wine from the renowned Chablis AOC in northern Burgundy, crafted from 100% Chardonnay grown on the region’s distinctive Kimmeridgean limestone soils. These ancient, mineral-rich soils, combined with a cool climate and traditional vinification in stainless steel, produce a Chablis that is both crisp and expressive — showcasing the purity and precision that define the appellation. The estate itself has been stewarded by the Tricon family since the 1970s, and their vines benefit from south/south-west exposures that enhance ripeness and aromatic development.
Tasting Notes
COLOR:
Bright, pale straw-yellow with a slight glint — clean and inviting in the glass.
NOSE:
Fresh and lively with aromas of green apple, lemon zest and delicate white flowers, underpinned by crisp chalky minerality and subtle nutty (almond) nuances.
TASTE:
On the palate this Chablis delivers excellent fresh acidity and a taut mineral core. Flavours of pear, grapefruit and citrus peel mingle with flint-like minerality and a saline, invigorating finish that’s clean and invigorating.
FINISH:
Crisp, refreshing and classically Chablis — lively and mineral-driven, with purity of fruit and a dry finish that makes it superb for gastronomy-centric pairings.
