Darkness Springbank 21 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish is a highly collectible, limited-edition single malt from the Darkness independent bottling range. It features spirit from Springbank Distillery (Campbeltown), matured for 21 years before being finished in hand-coopered Oloroso octave casks. The octave casks (very small, around ~50 L) maximize the wood-to-spirit contact, intensifying the sherry influence.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Candied oranges, chewy caramel, and marmalade.

TASTE:
Rich dried fruits (figs, raisins) and toffee dominate, layered with oaky spice.

FINISH:
Long and aromatic, with gentle smoke still lingering.
