Description

The Comte Armand Bourgogne Aligoté is produced by Domaine Comte Armand, a biodynamic-certified estate based in Pommard, Burgundy, famous for the monopole Clos des Épeneaux. Their Aligoté blend sources fruit from old-vine parcels—including vines up to 90 years old in Meursault—plus younger vines from Volnay and auxiliary plots. Vinification typically uses a mix of stainless steel and large demi‑muid barrels, lending both purity and texture to the wine.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Pale straw‑gold with a slight green tint.

NOSE:
Fresh and expressive, combining grapefruit, Conference pear, crisp green apple, white florals, and subtle herbal notes reminiscent of linden or frangipane.

TASTE:
Medium-bodied and lively, with an appealing “rondeur” from Burgundian oak and richness from old-vine Aligoté Doré. Vibrant acidity underpins citrus and orchard fruit, complemented by leafy spice and pebbly minerality on the finish.

FINISH:
Crisp and clean—fresh citrus acidity balanced by saline tension and a long, pure mineral finish.
