Angélique de Monbousquet is the elegant second wine of Château Monbousquet, one of the celebrated estates of Saint-Émilion on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. The wine takes its name from Angélique Perse, reflecting the family’s dedication to producing a refined, approachable expression of the Monbousquet terroir.
Crafted primarily from Merlot, with supporting roles from Cabernet Franc and occasionally Cabernet Sauvignon, Angélique embodies a softer, more immediately drinkable style compared to the Grand Vin. The vineyards sit on warm gravel-sand soils over clay, producing ripe, aromatic fruit with silky tannins.
