Château Maltus is a distinguished red wine from the Lalande de Pomerol appellation in Bordeaux, France. Rooted in history dating back to the Middle Ages, the estate's land was once cultivated by the Order of Malta during the Crusades. In 2015, Nicolas Lassagne acquired this 2.5-hectare parcel, aiming to produce a wine that marries tradition with modern winemaking techniques. The vineyard boasts vines averaging 55 years in age, planted in iron-rich clay and gravel soils, contributing to the wine's unique character.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Deep, sustained purple hue.

NOSE:
Rich and complex aromas of black fruits, including blackberry and blackcurrant, complemented by notes of truffle and subtle metallic nuances attributed to the iron-rich soil.

TASTE:
