Description

Château Malartic-Lagravière is one of the only six classified growths both for its red and white. Its wines are well known all over the world amongst the very best wines in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, making it quite unique in comparison to its neighboring Médoc properties.
Its best whites show complexity, longevity and no lack of exotic twists on citrus, tropical and stone fruit with pronounced floral and spice characteristics.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Pale straw with subtle golden hues.

NOSE:
A saline, briny edge reminiscent of a “cold northern sea,” mingled with citrus blossom, orange zest, honeysuckle, smoke, lemongrass, crushed rocks, quince, and apricot skin.

TASTE:
Medium to full-bodied with a layered texture illuminating flavors of marmalade, white peach, gooseberry, lime cordial, stone fruits, and a smoky mineral note.

FINISH:
Offers fresh acidity, saline tension, and a long, finely focused finish.

Food Pairing

Exceptional with seafood and shellfish—oysters, sashimi, sushi, scallops—plus white meats like chicken or veal, creamy and aged cheeses, pork dishes (e.g. pork curry), and light fish in sauce. Particularly shines with buttery seafood or tarragon-dressed dishes .
