Description

From the esteemed Château des Tours estate in Brouilly, the Combiaty cuvée is made from old-vine Gamay grown on granite-derived sandy soils in the ancient amphitheater of Combiaty. These mature, low-yielding vines (~30–80 years old) are handpicked, partially destemmed, and undergo long macerations with gentle extraction methods like pumping-over and delestage. The wine is matured primarily in concrete tanks for 6–12 months to preserve purity, freshness, and structure.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Medium ruby, vibrant hue.

NOSE:
Expressive aromas of ripe red and black fruits—cherry, blackberry, wild strawberry—with floral (violet) and earthy-herbal undertones.

TASTE:
Medium-bodied yet concentrated and succulent, with layered black- and red-fruit flavors, minerality (“rock dust”), lively acidity, and elegantly integrated tannins.

FINISH:
The long finish shows balance between power and finesse.
