Description

The 2000 vintage is a single-year cask‑strength Bas‑Armagnac produced entirely on the Château de Laubade estate in the heart of Bas-Armagnac. Distilled grape‑by‑grape — 50% Baco and 50% Ugni Blanc — and aged in their own Gascon oak barrels, it was bottled at full strength with no cold filtration. The estate, owned by the Lesgourgues family since 1870, oversees every production step and even coopers its own barrels

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Medium‑dark copper.

NOSE:
Complex aromas blend maple syrup, oatmeal‑raisin cookies, flan, yellow plums, vanilla bean, baking spices, caramel, creamy coffee, sponge cake.

TASTE:
Full-bodied yet silky – sweet and fruity at first, unleashing vibrant baking spices (cinnamon, nutmeg) along with caramel hard candy, coffee, caramel.

FINISH:
Long and refined, offering dried figs, star anise, horehound, and lingering oak spice
