Description
Château de Bligny, located in Côte des Bar, Aube, is the only Champagne house legitimately permitted to use the “Château” designation—affirming that all grapes are estate-grown. Produced from 100% Chardonnay, this non-vintage (NV) Blanc de Blancs is crafted via the classic method and aged for a minimum of 15 months on lees.
Tasting Notes
COLOR:
Pale to medium straw-gold with fine, persistent bubbles and a subtle mousse.
NOSE:
Offers a refined bouquet of crystallized lemon, white-fleshed and stone fruits (peach, Mirabelle plum), almond, nougatine, brioche, and subtle floral notes with a mineral edge.
TASTE:
Fresh and lively, yet structured and full. The mouthfeel is both dense and invigorating, with flavors of fruit drops, citrus zest, frangipani, and a savory twist of caramelized nuts or almonds.
FINISH:
The finish is clean, taut, and mineral-driven.
