This BenRiach 2008 Vintage, bottled by the esteemed Berry Bros. & Rudd, hails from the Speyside region and was matured in a single ex-sherry hogshead (Cask No. 150). Distilled in 2008 and aged for 13 years, it offers a robust 56.2% ABV. Only 304 bottles were released, marking it as a rare and collectible expression.
Tasting Notes
NOSE:
Initially shy and mild, revealing creamy vanilla-ice-cream sweetness and caramel, followed by oaky spices, then deeper autumnal tones—rowan berries, wet leaves, and dried fruits.
TASTE:
Fuller-bodied than expected, with a bold, sweet interplay of oaky astringency.
FINISH:
Medium-long, evolving from rich, perfumed intensity into fresh herbs and closing with white pepper, cherry jam, and tomato vine freshness.
