Benjamin Leroux's Savigny-lès-Beaune is a refined, terroir-driven Pinot Noir from this elegant Côte de Beaune appellation. As a talented négociant based in Beaune since 2007, Leroux sources fruit from lieux-dits such as Les Saucours, Aux Fournaux, and Ez Connardises—planted between 1955 and 1990—and works with sustainable methods. Fermentation includes 10–15% whole clusters and ambient yeasts, followed by 14 months in mainly used barrels (about 10% new), with no fining or filtration.

Tasting Notes

COLOR:
Medium-deep garnet, clear and bright.

NOSE:
Richly savory with lifted red-fruit aromas—fresh cherries and strawberries—with floral whispers of rose and jasmine. A subtle stemmy lift adds complexity and freshness, along with savory undertones from the foudre aging.

TASTE:
Vibrant and focused, offering dynamic energy with crunchy cherry fruit and a remarkably persistent, silky finish. Medium-bodied, finely structured, and charismatic in expression.
